Marjee Chmiel

Biography

Marjee Chmiel is the director of digital media for National Geographic’s The JASON Project. In this role, she manages the creation and development of a variety of videogames and interactives that support the JASON Project’s curriculum.

Prior to joining National Geographic, Chmiel was the associate director of instructional design at Public Broadcasting Services where she oversaw the production online learning interactives and created professional development for K–12 teachers learning how to better integrate technology into their practice. Chmiel managed a partnership with the Corporation of Public Broadcasting to develop online learning interactives designed to teach learning theory to low-literacy childcare providers. She has taught science education methods at the graduate and undergraduate level and taught high school chemistry and physics for several years.
