Travel
By Air · Madison’s airport (Dane County Regional Airport / MSN) is about 10 miles from downtown Madison and the Monona Terrace. Nonstop flights are available from major airline hubs. Taxi fare from the airport to downtown is about $15.
By Car · Madison is in south central Wisconsin, about 80 miles west of Milwaukee on I-94; about 150 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, 120 miles northwest of O’Hare International Airport on I-90; and about 250 miles southeast of Minneapolis and St. Paul on I-94. Long term parking is available at each of the downtown hotels; daily parking may also be found at an assortment of city parking ramps within walking distance of the Memorial Union.
By Bus · The Badger Bus Company provides service from Milwaukee's Mitchell Field (airport) and downtown Milwaukee directly to the Memorial Union. The Van Galder Bus Company provides service from Chicago's O’Hare International Airport, Chicago's Midway airport, and downtown Chicago directly to the Memorial Union.
