Michelle Bass is a doctoral student in Educational Psychology at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. She is majoring in the learning sciences with a minor in qualitative research methods. She is interested in studying identity during periods of transition. Her current work examines the role of youth media organizations in identity transitions for former youth participants. She is considering doing her dissertation research on how participation in youth film organizations can serve as a tool for marginalized youth to successfully transition to college.
