Cynthia Char

Biography

Dr. Cynthia Char is the principal of Char Associates, an independent educational design and research consulting firm based in Montpelier, Vermont. For the past 30 years, Dr. Char has designed and researched a wide variety of media and technology products, ranging from radio and television, to interactive multimedia story composition systems and 3D games. Clients have included Apple, IBM, RCA, Children’s Television Workshop, Living on Earth, the Center for New American Media, and Muzzy Lane Software. Prior to establishing Char Associates, Char was a research scientist at Education Development Center and at Bank Street College’s Center for Children and Technology. She received her EdD in human development from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
