Catherine Ashcraft
Biography

Catherine Ashcraft’s research focuses on connections between youth identity, education, and new technologies. As a senior research scientist for the National Center for Women & IT (NCWIT), she is particularly interested in connections between youth sexualities and also conducts research into effective practices for increasing women’s participation in information technology careers. She also consults with NCWIT’s Workforce and K-12 Alliances identifying and disseminating effective practices, and developing evaluation tools to support implementation of these practices. She obtained her MA in Communication and her PhD in Education from the University of Colorado.
