Jeremy Douglass is a co-founder of Playpower.org, an organization to promote development of affordable, effective, fun learning games, with an initial focus on low-cost 8-bit systems available worldwide. He is also a researcher in software studies at the University of California San Diego, in affiliation with Calit2, the Center for Research in Computing and the Arts, and Visual Arts, where he works on critical approaches to software and code using the analytic frameworks of the humanities and social sciences. His games research projects include work on large-scale data-mining of game play video and co-founding the Re:Game initiative, which supports researcher access to a wide and historically deep range of games and game platforms.
