Bonnie Nardi
Biography

Bonnie Nardi is an anthropologist in the Department of Informatics in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. She studies work and social life on the Internet. Her theoretical orientation is activity theory. She has conducted research in offices, homes, schools, libraries, hospitals, scientific laboratories, and, most recently, virtual worlds. She is the author of many scientific publications. Her latest book, co-authored with Victor Kaptelinin, is Acting with Technology: Activity Theory and Interaction Design (MIT Press, 2006).
