Jodi Asbell-Clarke, the director of the Educational Gaming Environments group (EdGE) at TERC, is a leader in science education in online environments. She is the Principal Investigator of the Martian Boneyards project. She has led research projects in online learning such as Learning Science Online, a study of 40 online science courses for teachers. She also led curriculum development projects such as Investigating Astronomy and Hands-On Universe. Currently, she is also co-PI of The Inquiry Project, a learning progression in matter for elementary children.
