Esra Alagoz
Biography

Esra Alagoz is a doctoral student in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a major in Educational Communications and Technology. She holds an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from UW–Madison. In her master’s thesis she investigated the effects of educational technologies on second language learning. Esra is currently working under Constance Steinkuehler examining the intellectual practices in MMOs and virtual worlds as a member of PopCosmo, Constance's reserach team. She is interested in the forms of argumentation, problem solving and critical thinking that arise in online environments.
