Lisa Galarneau is a veteran user experience researcher with specific expertise in digital lifestyles and emerging technologies and trends. She is also one of the few cultural anthropologists currently immersed and working within the digital gaming community. Her academic work has encompassed sociocultural anthropology, education, and media studies, with a particular interest in the character and possibility of digital spaces. In commercial settings, she has had considerable impact on understanding and developing customer experiences in a variety of industries including IT, entertainment, telecoms, online and offline retail, video games, and education. She is currently working with the Microsoft Xbox Support team.
