Jacqueline Isaacs

BIOGRAPHY

Jacqueline Isaacs is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and an Associate Director of the Center for High-rate Nanomanufacturing (CHN) at Northeastern University. Her research focuses on economic and environmental assessment of manufacturing as well as on the societal implications of technology. Initial development of the Shortfall board game resulted from her CAREER grant funded by the National Science Foundation and subsequent NSF funding to continue its development. Isaacs has also worked with Metaversal Studios to develop a nanotech videogame for middle school students. She holds a B.S. in metallurgical engineering and materials science from Carnegie Mellon University, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from MIT.
