Michelle Bass

Biography

Michelle Bass is a first year doctoral student in the Learning Sciences program of the Educational Psychology Department at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is a project assistant for professor Erica Halverson on her MacArthur Foundation-funded research exploring media literacy and issues of identity in youth produced films. Michelle’s research interests are on investigating issues of identity in underrepresented students as they transition from high school to college. She received her Bachelor of Science magna cum laude from the University of Rochester in brain and cognitive science with Minors in psychology as a social science and comparative literature. She was recently accepted into the Wisconsin Doctoral Research Program.
