Jayne Lammers

Biography

Jayne Lammers is a doctoral student at Arizona State University in Curriculum and Instruction, with a concentration in language and literacy. She is currently a research assistant to Betty Hayes on the Tech Savvy Girls project, exploring how adolescent girls develop informational technology fluency while playing The Sims 2. Lammers brings to gaming research her experience in proprietary software training in corporate settings and middle- and high-school language arts teaching in public education. Her current research interests focus on literacy practices, identity formation, and technology learning trajectories facilitated by adolescents’ interactions with videogames and digital technologies. She has a healthy obsession with chronicling the lives of her Sims through snapshots, videos, and blog posts.
