Dan Roy

Biography

Dan Roy is a game designer at The Education Arcade at MIT. He has been designing learning games for 5 years, with a special interest in teaching languages. His current project, which teaches English to Spanish speakers, is a partnership with the Hewlett Foundation. Dan’s Game Developer Conference presentation on language-learning games showcased his graduate research modding entertainment-only games for language immersion. Dan received his SM in comparative media studies from MIT and his BS in computer science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
