As eduweb’s lead producer, Steve Allison-Bunnell combines a passion for content accuracy with digital media production and programming skills to conceive and produce many of eduweb’s simulations and activities. He has worked in new media since its infancy, having entered the field as the founding nature and science editor of Discovery.com. Most recently, he has been the technical and art director for the WolfQuest project, overseeing the accuracy of the game’s simulations of wolf behavior and the Yellowstone National Park landscape. Steve has helped eduweb develop its unique development approach based on learning theory and is the co-author of several papers and book chapters on the subject. Before becoming a digital educator, Steve studied natural history museum exhibits and gained traditional media experience as a science producer for television and radio. He holds a PhD in science and technology studies from Cornell University and a BA in biology from the Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon.
