Dr. Jamie Kirkley specializes in the research, design, and evaluation of serious games that focus on complex learning, problem solving and decision-making for improved performance results. She has over 10 years experience with designing and assessing problem-based technological learning and training environments. Her recent work has focused on using methods of cognitive task analysis to map expertise in order to design decision-based serious games. Prior to joining Information In Place, Inc., she co-led the design and development of the Learning to Teach with Technology Studio, which is a problem-based online professional development environment. She earned her doctorate from Indiana University in 2006. She is an adjunct assistant professor in Indiana University’s Instructional Systems Technology program.
