Ashley Robinson

Biography

Ashley Robinson is a second year PhD computer science student at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Her research area is human-computer interaction. She is particularly interested in interactive story authoring and the effect that it has on a child’s creative imagination. Her research interests are story authoring, creative imagination, motivational learning, embodied interaction, and educational gaming.

Ashley is a National Science Foundation PhD Fellowship award recipient.

Prior to attending Virginia Tech, Ashley received a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from Norfolk State University in 2006. While at Norfolk State University, she participated in summer internship programs at Rice University, NASA, and IBM.
