Adam Jones

Biography

Adam Jones is senior vice president and was recently vice president and CFO of NBC News with overall responsibility for the growth strategy and business development for NBC News, MSNBC, MSNBC.com, and global news-gathering operations. He recently secured NBC News as the exclusive news provider to Channel One, the highest rated teen program in the United States. Adam’s responsibilities also include executive leadership of NBC Learn, NBC News’s largest new media initiative. NBC Learn was established to develop and launch a number of educational resources targeted to support visual literacy and 21st century learning methods.

From 2003 to 2006 Adam was vice president and chief financial officer for NBC Universal Global Networks based in London. Prior to coming to NBC Universal, Adam worked at International Management Group for 9 years in a number of global finance positions including international vice president of finance for TWI, the television arm of IMG, and senior international vice president of finance and operations for TWI Interactive, where he ran European operations for 3 years. Prior to IMG, Adam worked for 4 years at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in both the UK and the United States.

Adam is a graduate of the University of Birmingham, England, with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, and holds both UK and US public accounting professional qualifications.
